Alessandro Giugni nasce a Milano il 16 Ottobre 1994. Consegue la laurea in Giurisprudenza con il massimo dei voti presso l’Università Degli Studi di Milano e da oltre 15 anni è assiduamente impegnato nello studio e nell’approfondimento di ogni singolo aspetto della fotografia in generale. Negli ultimi anni ha trovato nel reportage il suo genere di riferimento, dando vita ad alcuni lavori che sono stati tanto oggetto di pubblicazione quanto di esposizione museale in numerose mostre in Italia ed Europa.
Ama la fotografia, alla quale si è avvicinato all’età di 11 anni, in ragione del fatto che considera questa forma d'arte tanto un mezzo per esprimere se stesso quanto il principale veicolo attraverso il quale raccontare il nostro tempo. I suoi lavori fotografici non sono mai figli del caso: ama osservare la società, le sue evoluzioni, i comportamenti e le espressioni delle persone che lo circondano, dando, così, vita a progetti ragionati e frutto di uno studio meticoloso.
Nel corso degli anni si è dedicato in maniera quasi esclusiva al bianco e nero e ha iniziato a utilizzare con sempre maggiore frequenza la pellicola, finendo per diventare quest'ultima il suo principale mezzo espressivo. Questa scelta dipende da diversi fattori: la non immediata visualizzazione degli scatti, il piacere di confrontarsi con la chimica, il desiderio di padroneggiare ogni fase del processo creativo, imparando a gestire anche la fase di sviluppo a seconda delle esigenze del caso. Tramite la pellicola, inoltre, gli è possibile costruire un archivio "materico", altrimenti impossibile da realizzare attraverso il solo mezzo digitale.

Alessandro Giugni was born in Milan on October 16, 1994. He graduated in Law with top marks from the University Degli Studi di Milano and for more than 15 years he has been assiduously engaged in the study and deepening of every single aspect of photography in general. In recent years, he has found his genre of reference in reportage, resulting in a number of works that have been both published and exhibited in museums in numerous exhibitions in Italy and Europe.
He loves photography, which he approached at the age of 11, due to the fact that he considers this art form as much a means of expressing himself as the main vehicle through which to narrate our time. His photographic works are never children of chance: he loves to observe society, its evolutions, the behaviors and expressions of the people around him, giving, thus, life to reasoned projects that are the result of meticulous study.
Over the years he devoted himself almost exclusively to black and white and began to use film more and more frequently, eventually becoming the latter as his main medium of expression. This choice depends on several factors: the non-immediate visualization of the shots, the pleasure of confronting chemistry, and the desire to master each stage of the creative process, learning to manage even the development stage as needed. Through film, moreover, it is possible for him to build a "material" archive, otherwise impossible to achieve through the digital medium alone.
